Silgan Specialty Packaging Sponsors Packaging Scholarships at MSU

Silgan Specialty Packaging is pleased to support the work of Michigan State University. Over the past number of years, Silgan Specialty Packaging has had the opportunity to maintain an active presence on campus through internship opportunities and career fairs. This year, Silgan Specialty Packaging is also proud to make a financial contribution to the Packaging Alumni Association Scholarship Fund.

In a letter to Silgan Specialty Packaging, MSU President Lou Anna Simon wrote, “Because of the resources we receive from partners like you, MSU is better able to pursue its mission as the world’s pioneer land-grant university: be that conducting world-class research to address real-world problems facing our state, nation and world; or offering the preparation and practical outreach that enables individuals to actively contribute in the places they live and work.”

We are proud to partner with a mission like that stated by Simon. Our company is impressed with the strength of the Packaging Engineering program at MSU, and currently, we have a number of MSU alumni on our various engineering teams as interns and full-time employees.

We support MSU students and programs and in turn, they have brought their exceptional training to work with us – ultimately helping Silgan Specialty Packaging continue to provide outstanding solutions for our customers.
