What information do we collect?
We collect “automatic information” and “personally identifiable information” through the Site.
“Automatic information” is information that we collect automatically such as, for example and without limitation, your IP address, the type of computer you use, and the web browser you use. An IP address is a number assigned to your computer when you connect to the Internet. Each time you visit this Site, our web server may automatically recognize and collect this information. Automatic information also includes “cookies” and “web beacons”. A “cookie” is a small amount of data that is sent to your browser from a web server and stored on your computer’s hard drive. Among other things, cookies provide a means for us to keep track of your online patterns and preferences. By understanding which areas of the Site you visit, cookies allow us to present information, products and services that are of personal interest. A cookie will not allow us to learn any personally identifiable information (such as your real name and address) that you have not otherwise disclosed. Most browsers are initially set up to accept cookies. You can change your browser so that it will not automatically accept cookies. However, if you do so, it is possible that some portions of the Site may not function as intended. “Web beacons”, also known as clear GIFs or single-pixel GIFs, are small image files that we may place on web pages and within web-based email newsletters that we send. Working in conjunction with cookies, web beacons allow us to accurately count the number of unique users who have visited a specific page and the number of times those pages are displayed. We can also use web beacons to let us know how many people opened a web-based email newsletter.
“Personally identifiable information” is information that tells us who you are such as your name, gender, your postal zip code, date of birth, your e-mail address, etc. We collect personally identifiable information only if you voluntarily choose to provide it to us. We may associate automatic information with your personally identifiable information. In the event of such association, such automatic information will be considered personally identifiable information.
How do we use the information we collect?
We use personally identifiable information for the purpose for which it was obtained (e.g., to participate in a sweepstakes or other promotion) and to communicate with you for marketing and promotional purposes via targeted postal pieces and/or personalized emails. We might also use personally identifiable information to respond to e-mails, provide customer support, or other similar matters.
We may use automatic information to customize your experience while visiting the Site and to evaluate and improve the design of the Site. For example, cookies enable us to personalize your experience by helping us maintain information about your use of our website, and help us recognize you when you visit the Site again. Cookies also enable us to identify the website you visited immediately before visiting the Site.
We use non-personally identifiable aggregate information to help us run and maintain the Site, study traffic patterns and generally learn about the usage of the Site. We may also use such information for purposes of system administration, to improve the design and content of the Site, and/or to enable us to personalize your Internet experience.
How is the information collected disclosed?
We may disclose non-personally identifiable information in aggregate form to third parties including advertisers, business partners, and sponsors, to analyze site usage and manage and improve our business relationships.
Do you have a choice as to whether to provide information to us?
You can choose not to provide personally identifiable information to us. However, if you do not provide such information, you may not be able to access certain portions of the Site. Additionally, most browsers can be configured to reject cookies or alert you when cookies are being sent. However, as mentioned above, if you refuse to accept cookies, it is possible that some portions of the Site may not function as intended.
Can you access your information?
If you want to change, correct, or update the personally identifiable information you submit on this Site, please contact us as provided in the contact section below, and we will use reasonable efforts to make any necessary revisions.
How do we protect the security of your information?
Unfortunately, information transmitted on the Internet and/or stored on systems connected to the Internet is not 100% secure. As a result, we cannot ensure, warrant or guarantee the security or integrity of such information.
How do we protect a child’s privacy?
The Site is a general audience web site. We do not intentionally collect personally identifiable information from children under the age of thirteen. If we become aware we have collected personally identifiable information from a user of the Site who is under the age of 13, we will remove that child’s personal information from our files.
